The fixtures are played on thursday afternoons between 13:00 – 16:00

The Flintshire Handicap League (FHL) takes place ever year during the months from May to early August. At Old Padeswood Golf Club it is run each year by the Vice-Captain who is in post during this period.  The Vice-Captain organises and run the team for the Flintshire Handicap League.

The league is played in a series of Men’s four-ball better ball matches against other local Flintshire golf clubs, with both home and away fixtures. Each team consists of 12 players, playing 6 games per match and each club player 7 matches per year. The maximum handicap index is 21. As well as recording the number of games won points are awarded per match (4 points for winning a match and 2 points for a draw).

Team  Matches are played on a Thursday evening with the first tee starting at 4.15pm. There is no green fee to pay for the matches so it’s a fantastic way to play local courses plus there is a meal after each match. There is a small fee to cost meal and league running costs. The league is open to any Old Padeswood member who has an active handicap. It is a very friendly competition and a good way to meet local golfers from our local clubs.

If you play in at least one match per year you are entitled to play in the end of season individual competition. This is played at a different course each year.
